SkyPilot Networks Expands Broadband Last-Mile Services with Additional International Frequencies
New frequencies extend coverage capabilities in the EU, Russia, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Asia and South America
Chicago - SUPERCOMM - June 6, 2005 - SkyPilot Networks, a leading provider of carrier-class wireless broadband systems, today announced the expanded coverage for two additional 5 GHz frequency bands to allow unlicensed service to a broader list of countries. In addition to providing coverage for the 5.8 GHz (5.725-5.850) frequency band, the SkyPilot products now have the capability to cover both the 5.1-5.4 GHz (5.150-5.450) and 5.4-5.7 GHz (5.450-5.725) bands as well. The 5.1-5.4 GHz frequency band is utilized in Russia, Japan, and several other countries while the 5.4-5.7 frequency band is utilized in the European Union, Australia, New Zealand, parts of Asia, and parts of South America.

These additional frequencies will take advantage of SkyPilot's non-line of sight (NLOS) capabilities and OFDM modulation as well as leverage SkyPilot's unique combination of long range point-to-point links and sophisticated mesh networking capabilities.

Pricing and Availability
The additional frequency bands are available as options within SkyPilot's existing
products starting in July. Each frequency band will be selectable through a
different model number of the product. Product pricing will remain the same
regardless of frequency band: SkyGateway base station ‚ US list price
US$4,799; SkyExtender DualBand mesh backhaul plus access point‚ US list
price US$3,499; SkyExtender mesh backhaul plus CPE‚ US list price US$2,799;
and SkyConnector indoor and outdoor CPE‚ US list price US$549.
