Lok Technology Certifies SkyPilot Networks as Technology Partner

San Jose, CA —August 16, 2006—Lok Technology, Inc., a leading provider of integrated appliances to manage, provision and protect wireless networks, today announced that SkyPilot Networks, the leading provider of carrier-class broadband wireless mesh networks, has become a Lok Technology Certified Technology Partner.

The Certified Technology Partner Program was created by Lok Technology to establish interoperability with leading vendors’ access point equipment, enhancing customers return on investment (ROI) with complete and integrated solutions for their network deployments.

Lok's LokBox appliances connect directly to SkyPilot's outdoor wireless mesh solution and provide seamless authentication, link aggregation, high availability, bandwidth management, and service provisioning among a variety of other features to enhance the user experience. The LokBox appliance also allows for the monetization of service plans in generating revenue along multiple streams, so that municipalities or metropolitan deployments can offer flexible public Internet access programs, enhanced security and location based services.

"SkyPilot continues to focus on meeting the needs of service providers deploying municipal wireless solutions," said Brian Jenkins, SkyPilot’s vice president of product management. "As part of this commitment, SkyPilot partners with an ecosystem of 'best-of-breed' solutions and we are excited to add Lok to this growing list of partners."

SkyPilot offers a wide range of products for service providers, municipalities, and public safety agencies seeking to deploy broadband wireless networks. SkyPilot’s infrastructure provides the versatility to build high-capacity mesh backhaul networks that deliver broadband Internet access services to Wi-Fi and fixed wireless subscribers. Utilizing an advanced antenna array to enable long-range coverage for the 5 GHz band (4.9-5.8 GHz), SkyPilot's synchronous mesh protocol provides superior RF management and sophisticated mesh networking capabilities.

"We are absolutely delighted with the addition of SkyPilot to our stable of Certified Partners. We have a number of prospective customers who will benefit greatly from our certification efforts," said Keenan Klinger, President of Lok Technology. "Our Certified Technology Partners are a known entity and our certification tests assure that SkyPilot products are compatible with the LokBox appliance."
