WAV, Inc., the value-added distributor of wireless, security, RFID, VoIP and portable data-collection equipment, announced that it has extended its product portfolio by signing a distribution agreement with SkyPilot Networks. SkyPilot Reaches Milestone of 40,000 Units Shipped
SkyPilot Networks, a leading provider of carrier-class broadband wireless networks, today announced that it has shipped over 40,000 units to more than 50 countries around the world. The growth in product shipments continues to come mainly from the fixed broadband wireless market, where service providers deploy “last-mile” services to residential and business customers in frequencies ranging from 4.9-6.0 GHz, and the “mixed-use” municipal wireless market, which provides solutions for mobile public safety, video surveillance, and automatic meter reading (AMR).

ADNSL Deploys SkyPilot for Broadband Wireless in Bangladesh

Northumberland Selects SkyPilot for County Wireless Network
SkyPilot Networks, a leading provider of carrier-class broadband wireless networks, today announced that the Northumberland County Council has awarded KBR IT & Networking Solutions, a SkyPilot AirPower Channel Partner, to install a new wireless data network in Alnwick, Northumberland. The network, powered by SkyPilot equipment, will provide wireless connectivity from the county’s multi-gigabit fibre core to various county services.

SkyPilot Receives FCC Certification for 5.250-5.350 and 5.470-5.725 GHz
SkyPilot Networks, the leading provider of carrier-class broadband wireless networks, today announced that it has received FCC certification for the entire line of multi-hop point-to-multipoint products in the 5.250-5.350 GHz and 5.470-5.725 GHz frequency ranges. These frequencies add to SkyPilot’s FCC certifications in the 4.940-4.990 and 5.725-5.850 GHz ranges as well as other international certifications across the entire spectrum from 4.940-5.850 GHz, which currently provides coverage for over 50 countries around the world.

SkyPilot Networks Closes New Round of Financing
SkyPilot Networks, a leading provider of carrier-class broadband wireless networks, today announced the closing of a new round of venture capital financing. The $3.4 million of newly announced funding comes from SkyPilot’s existing investors, including August Capital and Mobius Ventures, and brings the total raised since inception to over $70 million. The primary use of the funds will be to continue to expand sales and bring new products to market for the growing customer base of broadband wireless service providers.

SkyPilot Hires New Vice President of Sales
SkyPilot Networks, a leading provider of carrier-class broadband wireless networks, today announced that Dennis Stipati has joined the company as its vice president of worldwide sales. Dennis is a global wireless communications industry veteran, with more than 24 years of sales, marketing, and operations management experience. Prior to SkyPilot, Dennis was the vice president of worldwide sales for Exalt Communications, a manufacturer of wireless backhaul equipment, and spent 17 years at Motorola in positions that included leading the EMEA and Asia sales teams for the Canopy product line and the Americas sales teams for the Orthogon product line.
