RedMoon, SkyPilot, and TESSCO Form Partnership to Deliver Municipal Wi-Fi Through Texas Go DIRect Program

Streamlines Procurement of Wi-Fi and Public Safety Services for Texas Governmental and Public Educational Entities

Dallas, TX, March 5, 2007 - RedMoon Broadband, SkyPilot Networks, and TESSCO Technologies today announced that they have entered a strategic partnership that enables state agencies, cities, counties, public school districts, and universities to simplify procurement and gain access to discounted pricing through the Texas DIR (Department of Information Resources) Go DIRect Program.

As a leading provider of citywide Wi-Fi, RedMoon specializes in the engineering, design, construction, and maintenance of wireless networks utilizing SkyPilot's mesh products through their supply chain partner, TESSCO. RedMoon holds a DIR Contract (No. DIR-SDD-475) offering wireless mesh network solutions to Texas cities and public educational entities at discounted prices through DIR's GoDIRect Program and is also certified by the State of Texas through the Certified Information Services Vendor (CISV) program. To help cities get up-and-running quickly, the Company has created the RedMoon Starter Kit, conveniently bundling all that's required to build a secure 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and 4.9 GHz Public Safety HotZone including SkyPilot mesh nodes, video surveillance cameras, and a complete Support System. Although managed by the state of Texas, other state agencies and local government entities are able to benefit from the Go DIRect Program based upon eligibility.

"We're excited to work with SkyPilot and TESSCO to provide thousands of public sector entities across the State of Texas with an easy and cost-effective way to address their growing demand for high bandwidth applications such as business Internet connectivity, video surveillance, emergency response communications and voice-over-IP (VoIP) services," said Bryan Thompson, president, RedMoon. "We're in discussions with numerous municipalities interested in public Wi-Fi access as well as a secure wireless network that will help boost the productivity of its employees and further improve city services."

Currently RedMoon and Chevron Energy Solutions deliver service through their SkyPilot mesh network to the 23 square mile City of Burleson, Texas, supplying an automatic water metering program to better track consumption, curb water loss and increase revenues. Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) technology will enable Burleson to reduce meter reading costs, improve the accuracy of readings, support conservation efforts and raise the level of customer service.

"TESSCO is extremely excited about our new relationship with RedMoon. As a premiere provider of broadband solutions needed to design, build, run, maintain and use wireless systems, TESSCO delivers a powerful combination that clearly meets RedMoon's most critical needs," said Michael Blackwell, director of market development and sales. "This significant affiliation will provide a vital link in delivering end-to-end wireless network solutions to the citizens of Texas."

"SkyPilot and TESSCO have worked together to deliver hundreds of customers multi-use wireless mesh networks offering superior performance, coverage and security and are excited to jointly work with RedMoon," said Marty Hahnfeld, SVP of Sales, SkyPilot. "By leveraging our state-of-the-art wireless solution, RedMoon can help efficiently deliver Texas government agencies wireless access, benefiting both cities and its residents."
