SkyPilot Hires New Vice President of Sales
Former Motorola and Exalt Executive to Lead SkyPilot Sales
SANTA CLARA, CA – (MARKET WIRE) – April 29, 2008 – SkyPilot Networks, a leading provider of carrier-class broadband wireless networks, today announced that Dennis Stipati has joined the company as its vice president of worldwide sales. Dennis is a global wireless communications industry veteran, with more than 24 years of sales, marketing, and operations management experience. Prior to SkyPilot, Dennis was the vice president of worldwide sales for Exalt Communications, a manufacturer of wireless backhaul equipment, and spent 17 years at Motorola in positions that included leading the EMEA and Asia sales teams for the Canopy product line and the Americas sales teams for the Orthogon product line.
“Dennis is an experienced sales executive in broadband wireless markets and has proven his ability to scale sales through distribution partners,” said Paul Gordon, president and CEO for SkyPilot. “As such, he is a perfect match for our continued commitment to a global network of sales partners so we can reach the worldwide market of wireless service providers.”
Dennis will focus on building SkyPilot’s domestic and international sales team to help distributors and resellers expand sales to the broadband wireless market.
“SkyPilot has already established an excellent reputation among service providers for building cost-effective products for broadband wireless networks,” said Dennis Stipati. “SkyPilot’s unique ability to incorporate point-to-point backhaul in every point-to-multipoint base station – and allow each base station to be a relay as well – clearly differentiates SkyPilot from the rest of the market. The overall solution is compelling for service providers seeking to provide expansive coverage and capacity at an affordable price.”
