SkyPilot Networks Introduces Comprehensive Channel Partner Program
Expanding Domestic and International Channels Key to Sustaining Company's Rapid Growth
Santa Clara, California - June 1, 2005 - SkyPilot Networks, a leading provider of carrier-class wireless broadband systems, today announced the introduction of a comprehensive channel partner program that will help scale the company's sales, marketing, customer service and technical support capabilities to meet rising customer demand for its robust and economical last-mile solutions. Having secured more than 100 customers in nearly 30 countries just since October of 2004, SkyPilot has already signed 15 partners throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, whose combined indirect sales efforts already constitute 40% of the company's revenue.
"We've added SkyPilot to our portfolio of wireless solutions because they offer a unique combination of superior mesh technology and robust networking capabilities coupled with extremely attractive margins," said Paul Wallace, CEO of WiMAN, one of SkyPilot's premier channel partners, located in Australia. "SkyPilot delivers unparalleled range, throughput and redundancy while providing highly reliable VoIP capabilities to connect vast unwired areas that other vendors cannot accommodate. During this past year, we've successfully deployed multiple SkyPilot systems and have over 20 more in progress, connecting businesses, campuses and residences throughout Australia and Papua New Guinea. We anticipate expansion into New Zealand and Fiji as well."
SkyPilot's new channel partner program offers incentives to distribution partners such as discounts off hardware and service products plus access to support, training, and sales materials while the partner provides sales and support resources, network planning, and deployment capabilities to its customers.
"The rapid growth we're experiencing is fueling our aggressive development of a world-class channel program comprised of the best and brightest wireless systems integrators, VARs, and international distributors," said Bob Machlin, president and CEO of SkyPilot. "Given the global demand for our last-mile wireless broadband solutions, we recognize that our channel partners are critical to meeting demand fulfillment and continuing to expand this demand as well as ongoing customer satisfaction. Consequently, we're launching this comprehensive new program and are fully committed to our partners' success."
I-Systems is a premier systems integrator in Chile and a successful SkyPilot channel partner. "We've gained new customers including Telefonica del Sur and certain Chilean government entities thanks to SkyPilot's carrier-class wireless broadband solutions," said Felipe Larrian, Project Manager of I-Systems. "Because of the extended range provided by SkyPilot's SkyExtenders, we're enabling secure data and video access to regions that were previously unreachable. The SkyPilot deployments consistently exceed customer expectations by yielding significant cost savings and a rapid return on investment."
